championship, Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal will be taking on Brazilian
striker Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante at the upcoming StrikeForce:
“Houston” event on August 21.
According to
Fiveouncesofpain.com sources close to the event have learned of the bout which has now been set to headline the event.
Following five straight wins to kick off his MMA career,
Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal (7-0)went into his second fight under the StrikeForce banner and was able to
stick to his gameplan to dethrone Gegard Mousasi in his lone title
defense to become the promotion’s newest champion as King Mo still
looks to continuously improve his oevrall game in his attempt to be the
best fighter in the 206 pound weight class overall.
Meanwhile after a rough start to kick off his StrikeForce career,
Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante (9-2-1)bounced back from a loss to Mike Kyle to gain back to back T/KO wins
over the likes of Aaron Rosa and Antwain Britt in order to get back to
this shot to fight for a title and now it may be his time to shine.
Feijao as usual will have an all star training camp for this important
fight as he will once again work at the Black House Gym working with
the likes of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva along with the
Nogueira brothers as well.
No venue has still not been determined as of this time for the August 21 event, but we will keep you posted for further details.
